breath

Welcome to breath

A quiet place to practise diaphragmatic, or belly, breathing. Slow breaths into the belly calm the nervous system and ease stress. Let's take a minute to learn how.

Get comfortable

  • 1
Sit upright or lie on your backLet your body feel supported.
  • 2
Soften your shoulders and jawLet tension melt downward.
  • 3
One hand on your chest, one on your bellyThis lets you feel where each breath goes.

Breathe into your belly

Breathe in through your noseBelly rises while the chest stays still

Follow the cloud

It swells as you breathe in and softens as you breathe out. Try a few breaths with it now: slow, easy, and never forced.

Sound and timer

Use headphones if you can. A soft tone moves gently between your left and right ears over calm music. Set a timer, and a soft chime and glow will tell you when you're done.
